Delta APC commences campaign November 5 in Oleh

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it will kick off its campaign for the 2027 general elections in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, on November 5.
The Director-General of the Delta APC Campaign Council, Senator James Manager, made this known on Tuesday in Asaba during an interactive meeting with members of the council, campaign directors, party candidates, local government chairmen, party chairmen and local government campaign coordinators.
Manager said the decision to commence the campaign in Isoko Nation was deliberate, adding that the campaign would eventually end in Okpe Local Government area of the state at a date and venue yet to be announced.
He urged party candidates to intensify their preparations for the elections, stressing that the limited time available required them to be proactive and committed to the party’s campaign activities.
The campaign council Director-General also appealed to candidates to promote the interests of all APC flagbearers rather than concentrate exclusively on their individual ambitions.
He said the party’s success would depend on the ability of its candidates and supporters to work together to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
Manager said: “Whatever you are doing, please do it for everybody. As a candidate, whatever you are doing, do it for Mr President, do it for the governor and do it for the entire APC family.”
He urged the candidates to use their respective platforms, including social media, to publicise the party’s programmes and achievements, while warning them against being distracted by opposition propaganda.
According to him, the meeting was convened to address questions and concerns that had emerged following the inauguration of the campaign council and to enable party leaders to exchange views with candidates and grassroots coordinators.
He explained that the gathering was part of a series of meetings being held to strengthen coordination and ensure that the campaign structure functioned effectively at all levels.
Manager further directed local government campaign committees to submit their membership lists by Wednesday, saying the campaign council needed to know the composition of the various committees to facilitate effective planning and coordination.
The former senator stressed the importance of reaching every community and ward, urging local organisers to identify capable representatives who could mobilise support at the grassroots.
He said the campaign would require the active participation of party members across the state, adding that candidates must take their responsibilities seriously and begin preparations without delay.
Earlier, the state chairman of the APC, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, said the meeting was an important step towards the commencement of the party’s campaign for the 2027 general elections.
Arenyeka acknowledged the efforts of the campaign council leadership in putting the necessary structures in place.
He urged party stakeholders to work together towards achieving the APC’s electoral objectives.
